New Jersey Police Officer Struck By Car

Police officers never know when or where an injury will occur. An Englewood, New Jersey police offers was struck by a speeding car and seriously injured as he was placing emergency road flares on Route 4.

According to The Record

Jason Calle, 21, was charged with driving under the influence, driving on a suspended license, aggravated assault by an automobile while under the influence and possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana. Calle, whose last known address was North Bergen, was being held in the Bergen County Jail on $15,000 bail.

The Officer was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center where he is believed to be suffering from a broken shoulder, broken clavicle, several broken ribs, as well as some cervical spinal injuries.
